I just got mine delivered. It comes with no installation instructions, but a quick youtube video tutorial helped out. Installation went without any problems at all. Just popped the ball in and the outside ring cover.

However, it does not Feel as solid as the Original Blackberry trackball. There seems to be a little play in its ball fitting. But it does the job. I dropped my blackberry while getting on a bus and consequently lost the original blackberry trackball assembly somewhere.

But it gets the job done. Beats AT&T's replacement price of $50 by miles.

Overall a Good product.

Worked fine for a week, went downhill after that. Waiting on a new one from Blackberry, they claim it's "the real deal". We'll see.

I purschased this for my bb since the silver ring fell out and the trackball kept falling out. Shipped fast and on time. However even after cleaning the trackball multiple time with alcohol,it had difficulty scrolling up. Finally after a few weeks I removed the trackball and placed the old one in. I just needed the silver housing ring anyways which scratches easily.the blue color did look nice though.

The trackball in my BlackBerry Curve 9330 died last week and I spent way too much time agonizing over which replacement to order. This one works fine and I like the color, so don't hesitate to buy if you're in the market for a replacement trackball for your Curve 9330.

It's a trackball. It works. Simple, huh?

FWIW, I used the OEM retaining ring and it fits just fine. I plan to keep the new ring around as a spare just in case, but it appears both are identical in every physical dimension.

My stupid track ball died last week and I found out how difficult it is to use a Blackberry without one. So, I ordered this one on Thursday. It arrived on Tuesday and I popped it in. Works great, feels slightly different than the OEM, but not really a complaint. There does seem to be an excessive gap between the ball and its retaining ring. Not sure if this will allow debris in or not, only time will tell.
As long as it lasts 2 years or more like the OEM I'll be happy.
