A Little Uncomfortable 2009-01-04 |
| By T. Hayward (Sunny Florida) |
| Shoe is a little uncomfortable over the top of my foot, I purchased to startmyu walking programs, will only wear the shoe for causal use. I'm a little disappointed, but I purchase shoe for a GREAT PRICE $23.99 during Christmas time. |
great, but fits small! 2009-01-01 |
| By Freedom L. Pendell (kansas city, ks) |
| I got these the other day in the orange and white and love them! I usually wear either Nike Shox or Adidas Bounce. These run smaller (mostly in width) than the brands I am used to. I would have ordered a 1/2 size up if I had been able to try them on before ordering. |
Disappointed 2008-12-30 |

Compared to other pairs of New Balance I've owned, these are not comfortable. Also, they don't look exactly like the picture - or at least in the picture I couldn't see the shiny white patent leather, which would have changed my mind about buying them. I've never bought plastic leather running shoes...kind of pretty but not my style.
They are true to size but a bit narrow in the toe box, which isn't good for me in a running shoe. If I had tried them on in the store, I would not have bought them. I'm trying to break them in, hopefully I'll be able to make use of them.
I so loved my other pairs of New Balance, and thought I was getting something similar. |
Mesh on top makes them light and airy, sole gives nice support. 2008-12-27 |
| By Anjana Nigam (Atlanta, GA) |
Before these NB shoes, I bought very similar shoes with the same sole styling in adidas brand but was disappointed as the shoes were not very light or airy and the soles were made of stiff plastic with very little give. They had some bounce but not enough.
New Balance takes care of all those problems. The thin but strong mesh on top makes them well aerated and light, the balance is great and the sole is made of a softer material (than Adidas). It has the right "give" and bounce so that your feet don't get tired. The arch support is also good although I've tried NB shoes with better arch support. If your feet get hot and sweaty easily, especially in the summer, these are good shoes even if you're just walking or going grocery shopping.
Overall a nice shoe for a really great price. |
